Municipal Law

Our lawyers provide experienced legal counsel to municipal clients. We provide counsel to boards of selectmen, staff and boards and commissions in all aspects of municipal administration and procedure. We represent municipalities in civil litigation, both by and against municipalities, in property tax appeals, administrative appeals (such as Freedom of Information complaints), planning and zoning appeals and wetlands appeals. We draft ordinances and provide interpretative guidance on state and federal statutes and town ordinances and regulations. Through our legal work we develop long-lasting relationships with the people who are responsible for the day to day operations of the Town.
